Self-service Kiosks
The self service kiosks are an ideal tool to enhance the customers experience, reduce queues at the baggage desk and reduce associated baggage costs.
Passengers input all the required details, scan their baggage receipt and the application automatically creates a missing file. A customised apology letter is printed detailing the next stage of tracing together with the passengers file reference number and contact details.
Customs Declaration forms can also be configured to print - the passenger just needs to sign the form.
A telephone is fitted on each kiosk and the passenger can call (using Voice over IP) your managed call centre for assistance.
The self service kiosk application is developed in C# using web service connectivity via HTTP(S) and SOAP.
Using remote software as a wrapper, the kiosk will self report any hardware issues immediately back to the support control centre. The wrapper is a secure web browser that locks the PC down totally and restricts access to web browsing.
All kiosks are managed remotely should any problems occur.
